Termination Request
When an employee leaves the University of South Florida, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems is a shared responsibility. The immediate termination process is not for planned separations from the University. This process is used to revoke an employee’s access to University IT resources immediately due to potential risk. A supervisor or authorized department representative must initiate the request to remove access. // It applies in situations such as:
The employee is leaving without proper notice.
The department is issuing a non-renewal notice.
The separation is contentious or unplanned.
This process is NOT the standard deprovisioning process. That is the formal process for revoking access from an employee that has separated (or will separate) from a position with the University under planned circumstances. The standard deprovisioning process is triggered by a termination date entered in the OracleHR system by Human Resources.
