Katherine is originally from New Jersey and holds a Master of Arts degree in Theology from Southeastern University. Katherine moved to Lakeland, FL in 2009 to  attend Southeastern University, where she earned a Bachelors degree and Masters. While obtaining her Masters, she worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Advancement Department at SEU.

In addition, she has worked at Florida Southern College as the Administrative Assistant to the ROTC program and at Geico as a Customer service representative. Katherine recently moved to Brandon, FL. In her spare time, Katherine loves working out, shopping and reading. Also, Katherine likes go out to different adventures and traveling with her family and friends.

Kamala holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration and Master’s in Business Administration, worked as the Associate Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Schiller International University, and as the Director of International Recruitment and Admissions at Ball State University. Kamala has traveled in China, India, Brazil, Turkey, the Middle East and Europe, and loves to experience and learn about new cultures, as well as read and exercise in her spare time.

Lakiecher is the Scheduling and Online Programs Administrator for the College of Public Health. She has over 10 years of experience working in higher education. Lakiecher manages the Reduced Rate Program (RRP), formally known as Self-funded. She completed her undergraduate degree at Kentucky State University and is currently working on a Masters in Educational Leadership. Lakiecher enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends.

Carletta Hagins-Hughes joined the Registration team at the College of Public Health in 2015, after working at USF for over 10 years in the Office of the Registrar.  She completed her undergraduate studies here at University of South Florida, graduating with a BA in General Studies, Information Technology with a minor in Communications.  She will pursue her Master’s in Career & Technical Education in the near future.  Carletta loves volunteering with her church and various non-profit organizations.  She also loves traveling with family, attending cultural events, and finds pleasure in a good book.  Carletta is always eager to learn and constantly looks for ways to challenge herself in order to continue prospering to new heights. 

Bunana Wakil

Bunana Wakil is part of the registration and scheduling team. She worked in Public Health 3 years prior as OPS and is happy to return as a permit employee. She was born in Syria and moved to the states in 2004.  Bunana received her Bachelors of Tourism and Travel in Account September 2000 from Damascus University and also her Surgical Technologist certification in January 2012 from Lincoln Technical Institute. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and cooking some of her culture dishes.

David came to the College of Public Health in 1996 and has worked as a network administrator, data manager, researcher and admissions administrator. He earned a Master's of Science in Public Health in 2007 and has co-authored articles on topics such as assessing children's physical activity, parental influences on child behavior, and the internet's association with social networking. He now works in Academic and Student Affairs for COPH performing data management, assessment and reporting for programs and accreditation, and maintaining curriculum information for the College. David also enjoys running, and volunteer work at the Tampa Humane Society.

Somer has worked at the College of Public Health for nearly 17 years including positions in research, undergraduate teaching, and academic administration. She is also an alumna of the College having earned her MPH in Public Health Education. Currently Somer works with the Office of Experiential Learning focusing on applied practice experiences, integrated learning experience, career and professional development, and interprofessional education. She spends her free time enjoying her family, friends, travel, and food.

Patricia came over to the College of Public Health from the Office of the Registrar with 4 ½ years of experience in higher education. While employed at the Office of the Registrar, she worked as an Enrollment Management Assistant for Client Services and as an Enrollment Management Specialist for Graduation and Records Management. Patricia is also a student here at the University of South Florida seeking a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology. In her free time Patricia enjoys working-out, cooking, and hanging out with family and friends.

Helps students find health-related service opportunities, collaborates closely with university and community partners by matching their requests for volunteers. Assists Sunshine ERC with interdisciplinary student recruitment and outreach initiatives. Assists with COPH major events, such as Flu Shot Drive, NPHW and Give Life Day. Serves as liaison to COPH student organizations.

Annette has worked for USF for 10 years. She earned her Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. She has a passion for working with college students and supporting them in their college endeavors. In her free time she enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, trying new coffee shops, and spending time with her family (including her rescue rottie).

In 2016, Kelley joined the College of Public Health after working at USF in the Development Office at the College of Education and in the Ombuds Office.  She obtained a Masters of Education from USF in College Student Affairs. As a life-long learner, Kelley looks forward to helping students discover their passions while working to meet their educational goals. In her spare time, she enjoys attending football games, cooking, and traveling with her family. 

 

Jane Lundh

Jane Lundh has over 20 years of experience working at USF. In the College of Medicine and College of Engineering she managed research laboratories and trained students in analytical and technical processes while completing a Master’s in the College of Education.  She served as Academic Services Administrator for 2 Departments in Public Health before becoming part of the advising team in August of 2018. She enjoys the diversity of the students she works with and looks forward to supporting their success.

Nyasha joined the College of Public Health in 2019 after working at USF in the Office of Multicultural Affairs. She obtained a Masters of Education from USF in College Student Affairs. Nyasha is passionate about student success and all the access and opportunities offered in a collegiate atmosphere. She looks forward to being able to support students and help them achieve their academic dreams. In her spare time, Nyasha enjoys making and eating delicious food, her two pet kids (a dog and a cat), and exploring new places in the Tampa Bay area.

Miranda Sloan has worked with graduate students at USF for over 15 years, recently joining the College of Public Health from the College of Education.  She earned an Educational Specialist degree in Higher Education Administration from USF and a M.S. in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and attending live theatre productions.
