College funds may be given to exemplary new graduate students (preferably doctoral students) in each department dependent on university funds. In some years, departments may choose not give awards. The UGF award amount is for a minimum of $4000 (fall and spring) and 9 credits of graduate tuition for the first year of the award. Starting in the 1st summer semester, through the second summer (four semesters), the Department will fund a graduate assistant position, tuition & fees, and health insurance. Students are advised that UGF funding may affect financial aid awards. Students receiving financial aid should contact the Office of Financial Aid immediately upon acceptance of the UGF.
