Overview

AnchorTopTop

The AppWorx Documentation System contains documentation for AppWorx "Jobs". The Job documentation gives an overview of the Job's purpose, steps, and other technical information. Chains and Modules are the AppWorx objects associated with a Job. Basically, Chains and Modules are steps in the Job. In the AppWorx Documentation System the Job acts like a parent in that each Job has a child object (a Chain or Module). This child object is what is either scheduled to run in AppWorx or is ran manually in AppWorx.

A Chain contains a set of steps, which can be  be any combination of Chains and/or Modules. They These steps are the Chain's child objects to the Chain. A Modules Module is a single step; therefore, it does not have any child objects.

The UC4 Software company renamed changed the name of AppWorx application to Applications Manager. When this occurred UC4 also changed the "name Chain " object name to " Process " and "the name Module " object name to " Job". This change caused confusion for the AppWorx Document System users, since the name Job is was already in use for as the top tier of level in the documentation hierarchy. In an effort to keep things simple, the name AppWorx Documentation System has was retained its name , and the names Chain and Module have were also been retained. However, keep in mind that if you access to in Applications Manager you will see Processes and Jobs, not Chains , and Jobs, not Modules.
