Executive Format

Starting Fall 2017, the PhD Program will follow an executive format as follows:

Meeting Types: combined intensive on-campus experiences with online and distance activities.
Meeting Dates: listed below, are the in-class meeting dates for PhD courses in the 2017-2018 academic year (courses NGR 7813 and NGR 7814 will follow the standard USF calendar in Fall 2017 and Spring 2018).
  • Orientation: The first hour of the first meeting date every semester will serve as the PhD program orientation for new and returning students (e.g. 8:00 am, Monday, August 21). Individual course meeting times will be distributed at orientation.
  • Note: Students enrolled in Scientific Inquiry Forum are expected to attend class every Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm either in person or via the faculty-designated web application.
