Important Catalog Information for Summer 2020 Matriculants

Due to the planned consolidation during the summer of 2020, of the University of South Florida, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, and the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, into a single university with a fully aligned and integrated curriculum and a single set of academic policies and procedures, any undergraduate or graduate student who matriculates at one of the three USF institutions on or after May 18, 2020, will adhere to the curricula, policies, and procedures described in the 2020-21 USF undergraduate or graduate catalog, respectively.

The MPH in Public Health with a Concentration in Nutrition and Dietetics is offered by the

College of Public Health. This concentration is available to those with a Verification Statement of Completion or Declaration of Intent to Complete from an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD); or Registered Dietitian (RD or RDN) credential and two years’ experience. The University of South Florida (USF) Dietetic Internship is an integrated dietetic internship and MPH program. The dietetic internship will give you the knowledge, practical skill and professional values you need to meet the standards of education and core competencies for registered dietitians established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The internship's concentration area is population health and service. It integrates a Master’s in Public Health, concentration in Nutrition and Dietetics, with supervised practice in a planned progression of learning activities designed to advance your ability to function as a leader in your profession, as an advocate for better health for diverse members of society and a compassionate provider of nutrition care and education.
