Rita DeBate, PhD, MPH Dr. Rita DeBate is a Professor in the Department of Community and Family Health at the University of South Florida, College of Public Health. Dr. DeBate’s research interests include adolescent health, positive youth development, women’s health, and secondary prevention of eating disorders. | |
Kate Wolfe-Quintero, PhD Associate Professor, Director of Graduate Studies Dr. Wolfe-Quintero is Director of Student Affairs for the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Global Health. Dr. Wolfe-Quintero provides courses, programs, and workshops designed to meet the scientific and professional communication needs of faculty, students, and staff in the College of Public Health. |

Kamala holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration and Master’s in Business Administration, worked as the Associate Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Schiller International University, and as the Director of International Recruitment and Admissions at Ball State University. Kamala has traveled in China, India, Brazil, Turkey, the Middle East and Europe, and loves to experience and learn about new cultures, as well as read and exercise in her spare time.

Roushine Thomas is the Admissions Coordinator for the College of Public Health. She joined the College of Public Health back in November of 2011, she assists prospective students on the admissions process to the college. Roushine is currently a student herself at the University of Walden where she is studying Forensic Psychology. In her spare time she enjoys going to the Tampa Bay Lightning games, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Kristin Moretto, PhD, Director of Experiential Learning

Dr. Kristin Moretto earned her doctorate in Higher, Adult and Lifelong education and master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. Before joining USF Health, she worked as Assistant Director for Service-Learning at UNCG and has previous experience in faculty development and graduate student career services. She also served as Director of the MSU Student Food Bank for six years. As Director of Experiential Learning, Dr. Moretto oversees Field Experience and Professional Development. She also works to build community partnerships and expand experiential learning opportunities for students through field experience opportunities, service-learning courses, and more.

She joined the Department of Global Health in December of 2010 just prior to completing her Masters in Business Administration from the USF Muma College of Business. Jessica enjoys interacting with Global Health students, applicants or anyone interested in a degree, minor, graduate certificate or classes in the department. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, crafting of any kind and spending time with her husband and cats. |
Somer Burke, Academic Administrator Department of Health Policy and Management and Public Health Practice sburke@health.usf.edu Somer is a proud alumna from the USF College of Public Health. She has worked at the College since 2001 in various roles. She joined the Public Health Practice program in 2006 and the Department of Health Policy and Management in 2013. She enjoys helping each student reach his/her goal of a degree in public health. Somer is also an adjunct instructor for USF and St. Petersburg College. Outside of work she cherishes her free time by spending it with her family and friends, traveling, and relaxing. |
