INTO  Reports

INTO is an international organization designed to help students from around the world succeed in higher education in the U.S., UK, and China. INTO works with a select number of universities to create academic programs that help international students adapt to the educational, social, and cultural standards and norms of university life. INTO programs are designed for students that don’t meet the academic or English requirements for direct admission to college and are available to both undergraduate and graduate students. The universities work with INTO to create Pathway programs and English language courses designed to ease students’ transitions to a new country, ensure students have the academic requirements for study, improve their English skills, and introduce courses required for their major.

The INTO University of South Florida Center offers learning and support resources along with flexible study plans and academic pathways for students to further the aims of the INTO organization.

The INTO report is an interactive dashboard where INTO USF users can view metrics for currently enrolled INTO students and compare them with INTR students, non-INTO international students, non-INTO domestic students, and other students currently enrolled in INTO who are as non-degree-seeking students. The definitions for the student categories are as follows:

  • INTO students entered through the INTO organization and took one or more Pathway program or Academic English language courses before enrolling in a degree program.
  • INTR students registered through the INTO organization; however, they met the academic and language skills required for direct admission and were referred to Admissions from the universityINTO Center.
  • Non-INTO International students entered the university directly without applying through the INTO organizationCenter.
  • Non-INTO Domestic students are US citizens or permanent residents who entered the university directly and not through the INTO organizationCenter.
  • The Others designation includes classification consists of students designated as INTA (Accelerated Pathway program), INTE (Academic English), and or INTP (Pathway program) and are not currently enrolled in a degree program at the university.

Each report is an interactive dashboard that allows the user to display data by student category (INTO, INTR, non-INTO International, non-INTO Domestic, and Others) as well as by filter to further and apply one or more filters to drill into the data. Users select one or more student categories at the top of the report to group the data for a single category or a combination of categories. Deselecting all categories displays data for all students. The drop-down filters available in each report tab are detailed in the descriptions below.
