Congratulations! You have been recommended for admission to the Master of Science in Nursing program of the College of Nursing at the University of South Florida. 

Before completing these steps below please make sure you have downloaded a copy of your program plan. It is within the email from DONOTREPLY@webadmit.org. 

Please read the following information in detail, as it includes important action items and deadlines. Do not skip any sections! There are contacts within each section if you have specific questions.

titleStep 1: Set up your USF Email Signature

Every graduate student will be assigned a university email address. To ensure email communication remains private and secure it is recommended that all students use their university-issued email address for university communications. 

When sending emails you should always include your full name, unumber, and program with concentration. We recommend setting up an email signature within your student email account so this information is always included. Your email should appear as follows: 

John Doe

U123456789 (no dashes, spaces, or semicolons)

MSN-FNP (or appropriate concentration)

titleStep 8: Reserve Your Seat for the Program Orientation

The College of Nursing, Graduate Clinical Programs, will be hosting a Graduate Orientation. This mandatory, in-person orientation will be held in Summer 2024 so please plan accordingly. The date is currently TBA however it will be updated to a date in tentatively scheduled for August 6, 2024 however this date could change so please plan to be in person July or early August 2024. Once the date is fully confirmed all respondents will be notified immediately. Additionally, please be aware that our programmatic orientation differs from the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) Orientation held by the main campus which ; The OGS orientation is optional. Please reserve your seat for the College of Nursing mandatory, in-person orientation here.

titleStep 11: Lab Coat Information

Every graduate student in the College of Nursing is required to purchase a lab coat from the USF  Bookstore. A lab coat will be required for all labs as well as your clinicals. Please DO NOT purchase/wear scrubs. Students may purchase their lab coat at the USF Bookstore or by completing the Nursing Lab Coat Order Form and emailing it to t.gainous@follett.com. Once received, someone from the USF Bookstore will call you directly from the register to process your payment. Here are some notes:

  • You must purchase your lab coat from the USF Bookstore
  • Do not include any specific embroidery/name on your lab coat
  • Students who previously completed their BSN with USF must purchase a new lab coat for the graduate program
  • Master's students should order the Medium/Graduate size
  • Sizing: Masters/Graduate are sized to men’s and women’s. 
  • The lengths of the coats are included on the order form. Masters/Graduate should fall to mid-thigh, and DNP/Doctoral should fall to your knees. Depending on your height, you may need to adjust the type of coat you get accordinglaccordingly
