Text changes

Most text within Sitecore pages can be altered and changed using a component called the Rich Text Editor. It is one of the most commonly used components in Sitecore.

An existing Rich Text Editor component will often have a paragraph of text or image. Make sure you have navigated to a page you have been authorized to edit in order to make changes to a Rich Text Editor component.

To edit text within a Rich Text Editor component:

  1. Click on the area of the page you would like to edit and a RichTextContent box will appear.
  2. Click the icon on the left, as seen in the image below to open the Rich Text Editor.

  3. Click inside the editor, pictured below.
  4. Use the toolbar to create headers, align, italicize or make bold text changes.
  5. Click Accept when you're done making changes.

Note

You can also insert photos and create links in the Rich Text Editor using the Insert Sitecore Media and Insert Sitecore Link buttons which will be covered in upcoming sections.
