The following article provides detailed instruction on how to connect to the EIS cubes.
Open Excel> choose Data > Get External Data
2. Choose From Other Sources
3. Choose From Analysis Services
4. Connect to the server that has the Analysis Services database
5. Now you will choose which Analysis Services domain you want.
In this case you can select any domain with the “EIS” prefix. These are the SmartBI domains. Do not use any of the cubes without the EIS prefix.
6. Select the cube you want.
Example click on the “Enrollments” cube in the box and click the “Next” button in the above screenshot.
7. Saving selections for this report.
Give it an appropriate name as convenient.
8. Choose how to view the result,
Typically you want a PivotTable.
9. Now you have a pivot table interface
