Electronic Thesis & Dissertation (ETD) Resource Center

Welcome to the Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) Resource Center. It is essential that all thesis-masters and doctoral students become familiar with the submission process, registration process, and the formatting requirements.

UPDATES: We have recently incorporated a number of updates to the ETD Process, including:

  • Graduation for Application is now completed online through your OASIS account.
  • Grad Studies Exit Survey has been incorporated in the Application for Graduation, so we've removed that requirement. Students no longer have to turn in a Grad Studies Exit Survey printout with their Certificate of Approval.
  • Online ETD Workshop information and requirements have been updated with additional details.

All of these changes can be seen throughout the ETD Resource Center website, and in the ETD Guidebook.

If you are looking for ETD Deadlines, click here.
For ETD Workshop and One-on-One Help Session dates, click here.
For information on the Plagiarism Check, including instructions for Major Professors, click here.

For your convenience, we have also compiled all of the information into an ETD Guidebook, in PDF format. This can be downloaded onto your computer, tablet, or mobile device. Please click here to download the ETD Guidebook.

Writing & Communication Courses

There are a variety of courses available to beginning Master’s students as well as Doctoral students to help with writing at the graduate level. Master’s students should start with Synthesizing Public Health Research to learn how to write a literature review without plagiarizing. Other courses address scientific and professional communication. Doctoral students can take courses on writing a dissertation, writing for publication, and grant writing. Contact Dr. Wolfe-Quintero for more information.
