USF’s Tampa campus houses open-use computer labs, as well as classroom /instructional computer labs. The computers have a consistent configuration across all locations; comprised of Windows OS, and all USF licensed academic /instructional software used by the colleges.
Information Technology supports computer labs on the Tampa campus. The computers in the open-use labs are available for use by active students, staff, faculty, and retired faculty with a valid USF ID card. In addition, each of the open-use labs is equipped with at least one workstation dedicated to users requiring Assistive Technology, i.e. ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking, etc.

Workstations have the most commonly used applications on campus. To request additional software in instructional labs, visit our Lab and Software Request Form. These requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the date the software is required.
