Dear Student:

The following packet includes detailed information about the onboarding process for the HCC/USF Concurrent program at the University of South Florida’s College of Nursing for the Spring 2021 semester.

It is essential that you read the information below in its entirety. There are several steps required before you are allowed to register for classes, as well as additional information to prepare you for your first semester in the HCC/USF Concurrent program.

Registration for non-degree seeking students begins on November 30, 2020 at 8am.

Spring  classes begin on January 11, 2021. Your courses have a mandatory first day check in online. If you do not log in to your courses and complete any required assignments by those deadlines, you will be dropped from your course(s).

If you have any further questions regarding your acceptance, orientation, or this website, please contact your RN academic advisors listed below.  Phone and in-person appointments can be made through USF's online appointment scheduler - Archivum

We look forward to working with you!

Section 1: Prior to Registration

Step 2: Review your Program Plan

View the HCC/USF Concurrent program plan. It is a requirement that you follow the plan in its entirety.

If you have questions regarding upcoming USF coursework, please reach out to your USF Advisor

Justine Nandkishorelal (last names A-L) justinen@usf.edu

Maikelyn Lopez (last names M-Z)  mlopez21@usf.edu

Please note that HCC Advisors will have more detailed information regarding HCC coursework (Ashley Cooper, acooper20@hccfl.edu, and Melissa Leon, mleon15@hccfl.edu)

Step 3: Determine if you need to complete and return the USF Health Form from Student Health Services (optional depending on schedule)

The USF Health Form is required ONLY if you plan on taking on-campus courses. If you intend on completing Foundations of Knowledge and Learning (FKL), Foreign Language, or State Mandated Nursing requirements on-campus, then you will be prompted to submit the form.

If you do not submit the form, an immunization hold will always appear on your account. The hold should never prevent registration into online courses. If you start as an online student and later need to take on-campus courses, you will be prompted to submit the Form.

If you plan to take on-campus classes, the form must be completed by a licensed ARNP or physician. Office stamps and/or additional attached documentation will not be accepted in lieu of a provider’s signature and license number. Immunization records, along with your signed USF Medical History Form, can be scanned and submitted electronically on the Student Health Services website - http://www.shs.usf.edu/
