Princeton Review & Common Data Set

The Common Data Set (CDS) is a collection of survey questions and data definitions developed as a collaborative effort between college guidebook publishers and the educational community, including professionals from colleges and universities, representatives of higher education organizations, high school guidance counselors, and the National Center for Education Statistics. The goal of the CDS is to improve the quality and consistency of data reported by colleges and to ease each institution's burden of compiling data by presenting questions in a standard format on numerous surveys. Participating publishers include U.S. News and World Report, The College Board, and Peterson's. The CDS is heavily used by Princeton Review.
