International Calling in Teams
Overview
The following are instructions on how to make international calls using Microsoft Teams.
USF IT no longer offers long distance authorization codes for users that need to make international calls for their job duties. Instead, when a user needs access to make international calls, they will need to have an International Calling Plan license to their account.
If users in your department that needs access, please have someone in a director-level or higher position submit a Help Desk ticket with the request confirming that this additional license is needed for the user’s job duties at USF. This approval is required, per IT Senior Leadership. The Long Distance Authorization Code Request form any longer no longer needs to be filled out.
Note that, at this time, there is no charge for this additional license to be added to a user’s account, as long as we have the appropriate approvals from the user’s department.
Before making international calls, make sure you have your long-distance access code (LDAC) ready. If you do not have one, you can always submit a request by emailing help@usf.edu.
