Eduroam - SecureW2 on Windows

Overview

The following is the process on how to use SecureW2 on any device running Windows to connect to the Eduroam Wi-Fi.

To be able to connect to Eduroam, you will need to have some kind of internet connection before being able to connect properly.

You can use the  USF Guest Network for a internet connection to continue.

MFA

To be able to successfully complete this process, you will need to have your MFA device nearby for approval after sign in.

  1. Navigate to https://netconnect.usf.edu and select JoinNow.

  2. SecureW2 will begin to download to your computer.

  3. Once the download is complete, navigate to the Download folder on your computer and double-click on the file named WiFi_University_of_South_Florida_Wrapper.

  4. Once the program has launched, select Next.

  5. Enter your NetID@usf.edu address and select Next.

  6. Enter your NetID Password and select Sign In.

  7. Place a checkmark in Don't show this again and select Yes.

  8. You will see the following while SecureW2 starts to connect.

  9. Once completed, select Done.

  10. You should automatically be switched over to the Eduroam Wi-Fi. If you are not, then you can manually select it to connect.

Eduroam Connection Failure

If the above steps fail to connect the device to Eduroam, you can attempt to connect by selecting Eduroam from the wifi options and enter your full USF email address (NetID@usf.edu) as the username and NetID password.

Please note by using this method, if your NetID password is reset, you will need to reconnect to Eduroam again.
