This report provides student success metrics for Doctoral Research and Professional students.

Refresh schedule: Every semester. The “Last Refreshed” timestamp on each page indicates the time when the data was last refreshed.
Newly Enrolled Doctoral Students Overview (2012-2022)
- Shows the headcount of newly enrolled doctoral students by cohort.
- Shows the headcount of doctoral students enrolled over the past 10 cohorts by program type (Research vs. Professional).
- Shows the headcount of newly enrolled doctoral students by cohort and college.
Newly Enrolled Doctoral Students by Gender (2012-2022)
- Shows the headcount of newly enrolled doctoral students by cohort and gender.
- Shows the headcount of doctoral students enrolled over the past 10 cohorts by gender.
- Shows the percentage of newly enrolled doctoral students by cohort, college, and gender.

Research Doctoral Students Time to Degree (2012-2022)
- Shows the average years for research doctoral students to reach candidacy (Time to Candidacy) by college, department, CIP, and major.
- Shows the average years for research doctoral students to earn their PhDs post- candidacy (Candidacy to Degree) by college, department, CIP, and major.
- Shows the average years for research doctoral students to earn their PhDs post- enrollment (Admission to Degree) by college, department, CIP, and major.
- Shows the average years that research doctoral students spent in their PhD programs after reaching candidacy and before dropping out (Candidacy to Drop Out) by college, department, CIP, and major.
- Shows the average years that research doctoral students spent in their PhD programs before dropping out (Enrolled before Dropping Out) by college, department, CIP, and major.
Professional Doctoral Students Overview (2012-2022)
- Shows the headcount of newly enrolled professional doctoral students by cohort and gender.
- Shows the headcount of newly enrolled professional doctoral students by cohort and race/ethnicity.
Professional Doctoral Students Time to Degree (2012-2022)
- Shows the average years for professional doctoral students to each their doctoral degrees (Admission to Degree) in the 7 recognized professional doctoral programs.
- Shows the average years that professional doctoral students spent in their doctoral programs before dropping out (Enrolled before Dropping Out) in the 7 recognized professional doctoral programs.
Doctoral Degree Completion Rates by College (2012-2022)
- Using a stacked bar chart to show the doctoral degree completion rates during academic year 2012 to 2021 by college, including:
- the percentages of doctoral students who earned doctoral degrees
- the percentages of doctoral students who earned both master’s and doctoral degrees
- the percentages of doctoral students who earned master’s degrees but leaved their doctoral programs
- the percentages of doctoral students who earned master’s degrees and still enrolled in their doctoral programs
- the percentages of doctoral students who dropped out without earning any graduate degrees
- the percentages of currently enrolled doctoral students who haven’t earned any graduate degrees.

Earned Doctoral Degrees with Different CIPs (2012-2022)
- Shows the headcount of doctoral students who earned a doctoral degree with a CIP different from their CIP at initial enrollment.
Earned Master’s Degrees during Doctoral Study (2012-2022)
- Shows the headcount of students who earned a master’s degree during doctoral study by doctoral cohort and master’s strategic emphasis.
- Shows the most popular master’s degrees earned (Top 20) during doctoral study.
- Shows the headcount of students who earned a master’s degree during doctoral study by doctoral cohort, doctoral college, doctoral department, doctoral CIP, and doctoral major.
Earned Master’s Degrees from USF before Doctoral Study (2012-2022)
- Shows the headcount of students who earned a master’s degree from USF before enrolling in a doctoral program by doctoral cohort and master’s strategic emphasis.
- Shows the most popular master’s degrees earned (Top 20) from USF before doctoral study.
- Shows the headcount of students who earned a master’s degree from USF before doctoral study by doctoral cohort, doctoral college, doctoral department, doctoral CIP, and doctoral major.

Filter Panel
If filters are available, filter panel will be on top or left of data panel. All pages may not have filter panel.
Notes:
- Click the down arrow to select from options in the filters and narrow down your results.
- To deselect an item, click on the option again.
- Some filters are radio buttons and you can select only one item. The items in these filters are indicated as round buttons
. - Some filters allow multiple selections. To select multiples in a filter, hold the Ctrl key as you check the square boxes

- Filters for the report may not have Blank as an option.
Data Panel
Data panel displays the filtered results. To work with data in this panel:
- Select an individual row in the table to highlight the item/row. Select it again to return to the full table view.
- You can sort the data by column values, if the sorting is available for that column. Hover your mouse over the last row item in the column header and if a small black triangle appears
, you can sort that column in ascending or descending order by clicking on your mouse.
Select a column header to sort by that value, such as Campus.
Tasks
Export Data to Excel
To export the data results to Excel, hover your mouse over the upper right hand side corner of the data table and a horizontal menu bar 
will pop up. Click the 
in the top right corner .
A drop down menu will appear with 'Export data' as one of the options. Select Export Data to work with the data in Excel.
Note : The exported data in Excel may not look exactly like the screen.
Drill through
To 'Drill through', right click on a data cell in the data table. A menu will pop up with 'Drill Through" as one of the options. Selecting drill-though option will open another window with the details.
Note : All data tables may not have 'Drill through' functionality.
Reset to Default
If you have made any changes, such as implementing filters or sorting the table, you have the ability to return the sorting and filtering to the report creator's default view. Click the Reset to Default image in the Report Header:
