How to Clear Browser Cache

Overview

This article contains information to help guide you through clearing your browser cache.

This will help if a website such as GEMS, FAST, or any other website is not displaying correctly.


Internet Explorer 11+

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Click Safety then Delete browsing history.
  3. Select:
    Temporary Internet files and website files
    Cookies and website data
    History
  4. Click delete.

Firefox

  1. Click the first icon located at the top right.
  2. Click History
  3. Click Clear Recent History.
  4. From the Time range to clear, select Everything.
  5. Select Cache
  6. Click OK

Google Chrome

  1. Click last icon on the right side of browser header
  2. Click More Tools
  3. Click Clear browsing data
  4. From the Time range select All time
  5. Select the following items:
    Browsing History
    Cookies and other site data
    Cached images and files
  6. Click Clear Data

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the last icon on the right side of the browser header
  2. Click History
  3. Click Clear browsing data
  4. From the Time range, select Everything.
  5. Select the following items:
    Browsing History
    Cookies and other site data
    Cached images and files
  6. Click Clear now

Safari 14

  1. Click Safari in the menu
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Select Show Develop menu in menu bar 
  4. Click Develop
  5. Click Empty Caches
