Sometimes other files need to be accessible on web pages. It is recommended to always convert such documents into PDFs to avoid corrupt files.

Open the Rich Text Editor.

Choose a location for the PDF or locate the text of an existing link of a PDF file. Type in the text or change the name of the existing PDF/file in the content area and then highlight the text:

Click the insert Sitecore Link button:

Click the Media Items tab:

Navigate to Files folder:

Select the file from the File Directory or click Upload to upload a new file:

Note

NOTE: As a contributor, your permissions will only allow you access to folders that are connected to your web pages. If the upload button is not functional, check to make sure you are in the proper area.

To upload a new file, click Choose File. Navigate to and select the file you'd like to upload. Then click Upload:

Once your file has been selected and/or uploaded, click Insert:

Click Accept to make the change.
