Per Ms. Marva Green, employees that enroll in the RN to BS Program with USF should contact her directly. Email her at Marva.Green@ahss.org as soon as possible, and she will provide you with the required documents needed to secure your placement.

Securing preceptor:

Florida Hospital Tampa requires students to secure their own preceptor, this means the facility does not provide their preceptor. If you need assistance in choosing a preceptor, you can contact Marva Green. The preceptor must fit the following below guidelines (linked below):

LINK TO DOC

Service Learning hours are generally 10 hours for the semester. They are observational in nature and you will not have patient contact. You will need to follow a leader with BSN or higher in a leadership role. It cannot be your immediate supervisor and generally advised to go outside your floor. If you do not know other floors, I’d suggest asking your manager if she has any suggestions.

Step 3 - Once you have your preceptor’s name and contact information, you must provide that information to the Clinical Coordinator via email at EMAIL.

Step 4 - You will also need to clear your preceptor with your education coordinator, please see previous emails from the Clinical Coordinator for that person’s name and email.
