Data and Analytics can be accessed by a USF or USF Health network account at a USF Tampa Campus location or on the USF Health computer network without any extra steps. Remote access to D&A is allowed when using the USF Health Mobile Access Portal, the USF VPN, or via a VMWare Virtual Machine.

Accessing Data and Analytics on
Campus or on the USF Health NetworkCampus
In order to log into Data and Analytics (USF D&A) with an authorized account, please completing complete the following steps:
Launch Internet Explorer Google Chrome (Note: Internet Explorer Google Chrome is currently the only supported browser type).
- Access http://www.health.usf.edu/is/common-resources/data-and-analytics.SAP. (This link will take you to another page where the login link is available)
Click Log in to Data and Analytics on the Data and Analytics (previously Hart) page. See Figure 1.

- You should now be logged into Data and Analytics (D&A)
Accessing Data and Analytics
RemotelyRemotely
Various types of data are included in the USF Data and Analytics (D&A) system – including sensitive data covered by laws/rules such as HIPAA and FERPA. Thus, all computers accessing the system remotely must employ an encrypted connection.
There are three two options for remotely accessing USF Data and Analytics (D&A):
USF Health Mobile Access Portal (available to all HSCNET account-holders)- USF VPN (available to all NetIDs which have specifically been granted a reserved IP)
- Go to http://vpn.usf.edu/
- Accept any pop-up messages
- Once connected, open a new Internet Explorer Google Chrome tab or new Internet Explorer Google Chrome window to go to the USF Data and Analytics Launch Page
- Follow the instructions above for logging in
- VMWare View Client (only available to accounts which are already authorized to access at least one virtual machine on the Health network)
- Access your VMWare View Client as you usually would
- From within one of the virtual machines, launch Internet Explorer and go to the USF Data and Analytics Launch Page
- Follow the instructions above for logging in
- Access your VMWare View Client as you usually would
