Remote access to D&A is also allowed when using the USF Health Mobile Access Portal or VMWare Desktop while off campus. - Ensure that the "Authentication:" box is set to "Windows AD". The "User Name:" field should have your network account name in lowercase followed by the entire domain name in upper case. Examples are: jdoe@HSCNET.HSC.USF.EDU or jdoe@FOREST.USF.EDU (Note: HSCNET account-holders may leave off the "@HSCNET.HSC.USF.EDU" portion). See Figure 2.

Accessing Data and Analytics Remotely
HIPAA requires that all computers accessing the USF Health computer network from outside the USF Health firewall use a secure form of data encryption. USF Health Information Systems provides Mobile Access for this function. In order to log in from off campus, you must use Mobile Access.

There are three options for remotely accessing USF Data and Analytics (D&A):
