How to Edit an Existing Video Component 

  1. Hover over the body of the component. (see image below)
  2. Select the pencil icon. (see image above)

    Tip

    Is the editor taking a while to open? Try double clicking the pencil icon. 


  3. Insert the URL. (see image below)

    Video URLs must be from Panopto, Vimeo, or YouTube only.

    This section is incomplete and doesn't need to be peer reviewed at this time because I have to check with Shani to find out if we even want to include uploading a video to the media library. With testing, adding and uploading to the media library didn't work correctly. Also, if we do need to include it, I need to find out which folder the users are supposed to add their videos in. 

    To Add a Video from the Media Library

    Select Browse

    Navigate to the video 

    Select the Video 

    Select Select 
    To Upload a Video to the Media Library 

    Select Browse (see image below)

    Select Upload Media. (see image below) 

    Select Change Destination to confirm you are uploading to the correct folder. (see image below)

    Select your departments image folder. (see image below)

    Select Confirm.(see image below)

    Select Browse for media files. (see image below)

    Select the video from your computer.

    Select Open.

    Type in Alternative Text

  4. Fill in the following fields:
    a. Title: This will be the title that displays with the image.
    b. Descripting: This will be the text that displays with the image.
    c. Link URL: This is where you insert the URL for the Call to Action button. 
    d. Link Text: This will be the text that will display on the Call to Action button. 
    e. Open in New Tab: Make sure Open in New Tab is selected.

    To remove a Title, Description, Link URL, or Link Text included with the Video Component, leave the the appropriate field(s) blank.


  5. Select OK
