The above shared drive folder has the following files:
- CourseExamsMapping.xls - This file has multiple uses. It is used to map the Examsoft test name to the Banner course number. It is also used to determine which Examsoft exams need to be used to look up student scores.
- EXMS_Incorrect_Exams.csv - This file has a list of Exams that cannot be found in the Educational Data Warehouse.
- EXMS_Incorrect_Students.csv - This file has a list of Students that cannot be found in the Educational Data Warehouse.
The folder also has the following sub-folders:
- Archive - contains old versions of the input file CourseExamsMapping.xls
- Required file format - contains a version of the CourseExamsMapping.xls that has the columns in the correct order, as well as only the columns that are necessary.
Rules for the format of CourseExamsMapping.xls
Examsoft API required fields:
EXAMID and POSTINGID are the only 2 needed to pull data from Examsoft. It is ok to have multiple EXAMID and different POSTINGID, when multiple duplicate EXAMID's are used the data load will pull full data sets that then get reduced by removing duplicates.
Educational Data Warehouse required fields
COURSEABBR,COURSENUM,COURSESEC,SEQ,TERM
COURSEABBR, COURSENUM,COURSESEC are used to tie the courses to the actual Banner courses,
SEQ and TERM are used to list the exact course sequence and the term the ExamSoft coure is taken.
Load Schedule
It is important that the Excel file CourseExamsMapping.xls should not be left open. When the data load begins if the file is open then the process will error out.
