Steps to upload data via the File Uploader portal

1. Open up the url http://biaweb.forest.usf.edu/BIADataLoad/Import/FileTypeSelection

This will bring up the net-id logon screen




2. After logging in,  the File selection screen will be displayed. Only files that the user has been granted access will be displayed.



3. Click on on the 'Download Template' link next to the file type that you are interested in uploading . This will bring up the Excel template that can be saved to any folder.


4. The Excel file has 2 tabs. Tab 1 'Data Upload Template' contains sample data. Tab 2 'Data Definitions' contains the meta data details and how data should be input. 


5. Add your data to the downloaded file for the current review year, save  and click on the "Upload File' button. This will take you to the screen as below

6. Drag and drop your file or use the browse feature to select your file and click on the 'Validate File' button

7. If there are no errors in the file, the following screen will be displayed.

8. Click on the 'Finalize Import' button to complete the upload process. The following screen will be displayed to indicate that your file was uploaded successfully. 

9. Click on the 'Return' button to go back to the Data Importer home screen. 

10. If there are any errors in the file validation(step 6), the following message will be displayed. The error message can be saved using the 'Save Log' button.  Fix the errors in the file and click on 'Back' to re try the file upload.


Note: After uploading data successfully, any changes should be communicated to ODS to get the approval before uploading again.
