DRAFT

Overview

Xitracs by Concord USA, Inc. is a software solution used to manage information that is required by USF’s institutional accrediting agency, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and to produce the reports that SACSCOC requires in the format that SACSCOC specifies.

Effective 2022, USF’s contract with Concord USA, Inc provides access to four modules:

  • Standards

  • Credentials

  • Planning

  • Programs

Previously, USF was licensed to use the Standards module.

Due to needs related to the reaffirmation of SACSCOC accreditation in 2024-25, software will be required that has the functionality to provide a Faculty Qualifications Roster.  Xitracs has been chosen as the software to fulfill this function.  The Xitracs Credentials module will produce the Faculty Qualifications Roster that is required by SACSCOC. It will document, for each section of each course offered by USF during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years, that the Instructor of Record for that course has appropriate academic qualifications to teach that course. USF currently gathers some data needed for the Faculty Qualifications Roster in the FACT module of FAIR, a homegrown system, but FAIR cannot produce the actual roster formatted according to SACSCOC specifications. The Credentials module will allow USF to replace the FACT module in FAIR with an off-the-shelf package that will be maintained and enhanced by the vendor, eliminating the need for maintenance and enhancement of FAIR by USF. The Planning and Programs modules will replace USF’s homegrown System for Assessment Management (SAM), which is used to document assessments of academic programs as required by SACSCOC (and, for undergraduate programs, the BOG). SAM is currently maintained by IT at USF.

Additionally, the Planning module will be leveraged to document and report on the USF Strategic Plan.
