Accessing Data and Analytics on Campus or USF Health Network
In order to log into Data and Analytics (USF D&A) with an authorized account please completing the following steps:
Launch Internet Explorer 11 (Note: Internet Explorer 11 is the only technically supported browser).
- Access http://www.usf.edu/SAP
Click Log in to Data and Analytics. See Figure 1.
Figure 1: Launch Button. Click image to enlarge.- Ensure that the "Authentication:" box is set to "Windows AD". The "User Name:" field should have your network account name in lowercase followed by the entire domain name in upper case. Examples are: jdoe@HSCNET.HSC.USF.EDU or jdoe@FOREST.USF.EDU (Note: HSCNET account-holders may leave off the "@HSCNET.HSC.USF.EDU" portion). See Figure 2.

Accessing Data and Analytics Remotely
Various types of data are included in the USF Data and Analytics (D&A) system – including sensitive data covered by laws/rules such as HIPAA and FERPA. Thus, all computers accessing the system remotely must employ an encrypted connection.
There are two options for remotely accessing USF Data and Analytics (D&A):
- USF VPN (available to all NetIDs)
- Go to http://vpn.usf.edu/
- Accept any pop-up messages
- Once connected, open a new Internet Explorer 11 tab or new Internet Explorer 11 window to go to the USF Data and Analytics Launch Page
- Follow the instructions above for logging in
- VMWare View Client (only available to accounts which are already authorized to access at least one virtual machine on the Health network)
- Access your VMWare View Client as you usually would
- From within one of the virtual machines, launch Internet Explorer 11 and go to the USF Data and Analytics Launch Page
- Follow the instructions above for logging in
- Access your VMWare View Client as you usually would
