Faculty Awards
- Faculty Awards → Awards → The tab displays the number of faculty awards received in various colleges for the past 5 years in a tabular form. This tab shows data for all awards at a time. To view the data for specific award, use the award type slicer.Faculty Awards Trend → The tab displays number of number of faculty awards received trend in across various colleges for over the past 5 five years in a line chart. This tab shows data for all awards at a time. To view the data for specific award, use the award type slicer.Faculty Awards by College → The tab displays the number of faculty awards received data for each college at a time. To view the data for a specific college, use the college/unit slicer. This tab has a table and a line chart showing the data.Faculty Awards List → table format. You can view the number of awards by college and department. You can click on the Trend chart on the top to see the trend of faculty awards received across various colleges over the past five years in a line chart. You have the ability to slice the data by Award Type by using the slicer on the top.
- Faculty Awards by Award Type → The tab displays the number of faculty awards received by College, Award Type and Award Year.
- Faculty Awards List → The tab displays the list of faculty award received by each recipient in a college/unit. This tab shows data for one college at a time. To view data for a specific college, award type and award year, use the slicers required.
Note: Per guidance from the USF Research Office, awards with the type "USF" have been excluded from the report to avoid duplication. However, information about these awards is still available in the report.recipient name, Award name, Award type and Award year in a tabular format

Filters on the Filters Panel
There is a filter panel on the right which can be expanded or collapsed using the >> button. The filter panel has following filters:
- Ranking - "Prestigious" is excluded as default for this report.
- Award Name - The name of the Awards
- Campus
- College
- College Group - Colleges are grouped under academic affairs, health and others.
- Award Name - The name of the Awards
- Campus - The Name of the Campus
- and others.
- Department - The Faculty Awards Tab does not have Department filter. Department level information is available by clicking on the + sign for colleges.

Filter PanelFilters are listed on the side panel of the report. Notes:
Data PanelThis panel displays the filtered results. To work with data in this panel:
Options for the Data PanelExport Data to ExcelTo export the data results to Excel, hover your mouse over the upper right hand side corner of the data table and a horizontal menu bar will pop up. Click the in the top right corner . A drop down menu will appear with 'Export data' as one of the options. Select Export Data to work with the data in Excel. Note : The exported data in Excel may not look exactly like the screen. Focus ModeTo see the data in Focus Mode, hover your mouse over the upper right hand side corner of the data table and a horizontal menu bar will pop up. Click the option for Focus Mode It allows the visual to take the entire space in the report canvas. Full screen mode will persist until you exit out or click on on the top left hand side. You can export data, or see the data in a table by selecting the appropriate option. SpotlightSpotlight causes all other visuals on the page to fade so the selected visual is highlighted. To highlight a visual, click on more action Filters/Slicers on a visualTo find out what are the filters on any particular visual, select that visual and on the top right hand side, a menu bar of options will appear. There will be an option that looks like Filter on three horizonal bars, and if you select that, you can see what slicers are impacting that visual. Currently this menu bar is not available for Line Charts. Matrix Visual: Drill Up and Drill DownIf the visual has the hierarchy, the menu will appear when you hover on the top left side of the visual. Turn on drill down first by selecting the downward arrow. The grey background lets you know that drill down is active. Selecting will expand another level of hierarchy. Selecting the double arrow drill-down icon takes you to the next level in the hierarchy. Selecting will take you one level up in hierarchy. The arrows will be greyed out if the option is not available. Reset to DefaultIf you have made any changes, such as implementing filters or sorting the table, you have the ability to return the sorting and filtering to the report creator's default view. Click the Reset to Default image above the report in the Report Header: |
