Overview

As of 02/09/2023 Chromium-based web browsers have instituted changes which prevent data from being pulled ‘live’ within reports in the Data and Analytics system. You can work around this by using the Internet Explorer compatibility mode of the most recent Microsoft Edge browser. The instructions on this page encompass a one-time change needed in order to enable the functionality as an option. Once the instructions on this page are completed further steps will be needed each time you wish to load a page in Internet Explorer compatibility mode.

Enabling Internet Explorer Compatibility Mode (One-Time Change)

  1. Open the Microsoft Edge browser on Windows 10.

  2. Click the 3-dots ellipsis ( ) in the upper-right corner and select Settings.

  3. From the Settings window, select Default Browser on the left panel.

  4. In the Default Browser panel on the right under Internet Explorer Compatibility, locate the Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) setting. Change the drop-down menu to Allow. See Figure 2.

  5. Reload the Microsoft Edge browser for the setting change to take effect.

Note that each time you log into USF Data & Analytics you still need to take action to refresh the page in Internet Explorer compatibility mode. Instructions are posted in the Logging Into Data & Analytics site.
