RetentionDate Person BirthPerson birth date in YYYY-MM-DD format
RetentionDate Student EntryThe year and month the student first registered in a college credit course in this institution. This element does not change after the first term the student is registered for credit courses. The format for coding the element is YYYYMM where YYYY is a numeric year (I.E. 1993) and where MM is a valid month (01-12).
RetentionDate Student Recent AdmitThe year and month of the student's most recent admission or readmission to the institution. This element should reflect the most recent admission date to the institution. It should be updated each time the student proceeds through the admission process, (I.E. An unclassified student who is formally admitted to the institution; or a native student who is admitted to a graduate program.)
RetentionDegree Level SoughtThe level of degree that will be awarded pending successful completion of the student's current degree program.
RetentionDegree Type Highest StudentThe highest educational degree, certificate or diploma held by the individual. The code reported here should be the highest degree, certificate or diploma held by the student at the beginning of the term being reported.
RetentionFlag BOG Accountability FTICIdentifies students who qualify as an FTIC for Accountability / Work Plans / Pre-Eminence classification. Criteria include - Full time only, not withdrawn or deceased, not non-degree.
RetentionFlag BOG IPEDS FTICIdentifies students who qualify as an FTIC as per the BOG for IPEDS purporses. Criteria include - degree seeking, recent_adm_typ = B,not withdrawn or deceased, full time only, gender <> X, military status = D or blank
