Steps to complete this process:
Step 1 : Complete the Poster Request Form
Advance planning is required to complete this form (3-4 weeks in advance):
Gather the following information prior to completing the form:
- Date poster is required
- Poster title
- Presentation venue mailing/shipping address (conference/event)
- Poster size requirements if attending a conference (after printing)
- Must indicate Estimated Cost and Fund Source prior to routing for any approvals.
- Dean/Associate Dean Signature is required prior to routing for IRB and Marketing approval (DocuSign preferred).
- IRB# (for research only)
- Poster type (Glossy/Full Lamination). The college will cover the cost of a standard poster only. If you would like a fabric poster, you must pay the difference in cost.
- If you want to pick up the poster in person or have it *shipped to the conference (*This option is an extra charge)
Step 2 : Create Your Research Poster
- Create your poster in PowerPoint using the following marketing approved USF College of Nursing poster template*:
- Template
- Save your file using the following file naming format:
- your last name_first initial_current date_research poster
- We recommend modifying your width and height BEFORE inputting your poster information for a more accurate view of how your poster will look after printing.
Steps to change poster size:
> Open the template
> Click “Design”
> Click “Page Setup”
> Modify your width and height
> Click “OK”

*Posters paid for by USF College of Nursing are required to be created using the currently branded template.
Step 3 : Submit to IRB & Marketing for Approval
Send your poster request form and your poster to the following USF College of Nursing staff via DocuSign:
Step 4 : Information on Final Process
Once IRB Coordinator reviews the poster for IRB compliance, they will forward the poster to the appropriate associate dean for approval. The dean will sign off on the poster request form. When all signatures are in place, Marketing will review the poster for branding and then send the poster to the printer.
Step 5 : Proof & Final Poster Pick-up
- Marketing will notify you via email when a proof of your poster is available for your approval (proof arrives 24-48 business hours from when all signatures are acquired).
- Once the poster is approved, your final poster will arrive in 24-48 business hours.
