Graduate Certificates
Thank you for your interest in the Graduate Certificates offered by the College of Public Health. Graduate Certificates offer the opportunity for bachelor’s degree holders to explore options for graduate study, for professionals to expand or refresh skills, and for graduate degree seekers to engage in a concentrated area of emphasis that will enhance their major area of study. Earned Graduate Certificates are noted on the official USF transcript upon completion.
Graduate Certificate Programs allow a student to take courses in a specific topical area without being admitted to a degree program. Certificates range from 12 to 18 credits to complete, depending on the one selected. By comparison, the MPH requires a minimum of 42 credits.
Open to students who have completed a Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate Programs are designed to meet your continuing professional education needs. Credits taken can apply, if appropriate, to a Masters or PhD degree in Public Health or related disciplines should the student later be admitted to a graduate degree program. For more information on certificates, see the Innovative Education website.
