The USF Health Libraries are open to faculty, students, staff, and other authorized USF Health personnel.


SERVICES

Ask a Librarian for help with:

· Selecting the best databases for research

· Developing strong search strategies for clinical or research questions (e.g., PICO, systematic reviews)

· Training on efficient searching and database usage

· Using EndNote to quickly organize and easily create citations in research

· Determining the legitimacy of journals

Other services:

· Virtual classes held monthly on a variety of topics (e.g., basic search, mobile apps, poster-to-paper)

· Interlibrary loan: Get fast access to full-text articles not found in our collection

· Puppy Therapy Days: Meet Snitch, the library’s ambassador

SPACES

Florida Blue Health Knowledge Exchange (Floor 2M)

An engaging and innovative library with comprehensive services and a great team to help students succeed. Staff members are available: Monday - Friday 8AM- 5PM.

• Check out SonoSim devices and laptops and receive assistance with library and IT questions at the Dr. Valerie Riddle, MD Brilliance Bar

• Use the Microsoft™ Surface Studio computers for assignments, email, and printing

• Book the recording lab to create digital content, attend video conferences, and work collaboratively with colleagues

• Study in the beautiful Betty Castor and Sam Bell Executive Reading Room

• View large-scale collaborative presentations on the visualization wall

IT Help Desk is also located at the Dr. Valerie Riddle, MD Brilliance Bar and is staffed by IT for:

· Account access issues

· Technology troubleshooting

Shimberg Health Science Library (North Campus)

A more traditional library atmosphere to engage in quiet study time or to collaborate with colleagues. Staff members are available M-F, 7:30AM – 11:00PM; Saturday, 10:00AM – 6:00PM; Sunday, Noon – 11:00PM.

In addition to the services listed above, the Shimberg Health Sciences Library offers,

· 3D Printing Lab

· 24/7 group study and quiet study space (first-come, first-served)

· Group study room checkout

· Checkout library materials (e.g., books, laptops, headphones, whiteboard markers, sports equipment)

· Computer lab

Tampa Veteran’s Administration Hospital Medical Library: HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
