Overview

Data Data & Analytics (D&A) is a portal to access reports containing data from various systems across USF and USF Health. D&A's power is in its ability to access reports quickly and easily from multiple data sources and then to drill down to specific levels within each report.

Access to Data & Analytics

To access the system you will need the following:

  • A USF Health "HSCNET" account or a USF "FOREST" account
  • Authorized access (to request access see below)
NoteAnyone who has a USF FOREST account is eligible for some level of access to D&A. Permission to view D&A reports is determined by role and departmental needs. Visit Request Data & Analytics Access to learn how to obtain access.

Logging into Data & Analytics

Note

If you are located off-campus, you will need to be logged in using the USF VPN. Visit Install VPN - Palo Alto GlobalProtect for additional documentation on USF's VPN.


Please be aware that
  1. Launch

    Internet Explorer (Note: Internet Explorer is the only supported browser type).
  2. Open the following link in Internet Explorer - Data & Analytics
    You can also click the image below to take you to the login page. Remember, that Internet Explorer is the only supported browser type.

Note

FOREST account-holders must use the format of "username@FOREST.USF.EDU" - including lowercase username and all capital letters for FOREST.USF.EDU

  1. the Google Chrome web browser.

  2. Click on the green Log Into Data & Analytics button below to get to the logon screen.

  3. In the User Name: field of the BI launch pad logon screen enter your NetID in lowercase. For example, if your USF email address is rockythebull@usf.edu then simply type: rockythebull.
  4. In the Password: field enter the password corresponding to your NetID.

  5. Ensure the Authentication: field is still set to Windows AD.

Note

Please be advised of our weekly scheduled maintenance window:

  • Sundays: 6AM to Noon

During the weekly scheduled maintenance window, the system could be unavailable without notice for various amounts of time so use of the system would be at your own risk.

Also, be aware that for non-SIS reports various data refreshes occur during the following timeframes:

  • Weekdays: Noon to 1

    pm

    :30 PM (income-related data only)

  • Sundays through Fridays: Midnight

    Daily: 9:30PM to 7AM

  • Saturdays:

    Midnight to 8AM

    8AM to Noon (salaries data only)

We strongly advise against using the system non-SIS reports during the above timeframes as the data may be in the process of changing/updating.
