Recording Service Learning Experience Hours

Students will be required to document service learning using the USF MCOM  the Archivum Platform. 

A quality service learning project log details the preparation done prior to delivering services, articulate the benefits of the services rendered and connect service to professional and personal development.  

Please describe service project in detail, including:

  1. Preparation done prior to delivery of service (see Selecting Service Learning Project):
    1. What you did, where you volunteered, and who you served (target audience);
    2. Who - the other volunteers (were the other volunteers from your own academic program or other programs?);
    3. How you learned about this service project;
    4. Any other pertinent details which will convey a clear picture of this service project. 

  2. Please share your impressions of each service project and reflect upon any of the following concepts of service learning:
    1. How you feel that you made a positive impact;
    2. What you learned about the community you served and their health care needs;
    3. How this project ‘builds upon’ what you are learning in your academic program;
    4. How this project changed your perceptions about health care;
    5. How this project changed your perceptions of other health professionals;
    6. How this project introduced  you to new career possibilities;
