What is CACREP?
CACREP accredits master’s and doctoral degree programs in counseling and its specialties that are offered by colleges and universities in the United States and throughout the world.
Current types of programs that can be accredited are:
Master's degree programs
- Clinical Mental Health Counseling
- Marriage & Family Therapy
- Career Counseling
- School Counseling
- Addiction Counseling
- Student Affairs and College Counseling
Doctoral degree programs
- Counselor Education and Supervision
Accreditation can no longer be sought for the following programs:
- Community Counseling
- College Counseling
- Gerontological Counseling
- Mental Health Counseling
- Student Affairs
- Student Affairs College Counseling
