Research Analytics Load Process

Overview

The following guidelines are recommended in uploading data to be used by the Research Analytics dataset.

GME Data

There are two parts for loading the GME data. GME is responsible for loading employee information, while Research is responsible for loading the percentage of Resident’s salary.

Loading Employee Information - GME Director

The above channel has a tab named Files with the GMEData.xlsx file. To upload the latest data to the GMEData.xlsx file, follow instructions below.

  1. Click on Upload.

  2. Select File. – Ensure the file is named GMEData.xlsx.

  3. Choose the File to Upload.

  4. Click on Open.

  5. You will get the following message.

  6. Select Replace Button

Source of Data

IT will be getting the data from the ACGME tab and the Research Year tab.  Please do not rename these tabs.

Do not rename files, tabs, or columns. Renaming will cause the data load to produce an error.

IT will be uploading the data from the following columns.  Please do not rename these columns

  1. EMPLID

  2. Last Name

  3. First name

  4. Middle name

  5. Program Start Date

  6. Program End Date

  7. Current Program

  8. Post Graduate Year

  9. Compensation Status

  10. Program ACGME Number

  11. Annual Comp Benefits

  12. Fiscal Year

Loading Control Information - Research

The above channel has a tab named Files with the ResearchControl.xlsx file. To enter new values for GME Percentage Used follow the instructions below.

  1. Open the ResearchControl.xlsx file.

  2. Enter Fiscal Year and GME Percentage Used values on the next empty row.

  3. The file will automatically save the changes.

Do not rename files, tabs, or columns. Renaming will cause the data load to produce an error.

Imputed Rent

To enter new values for Imputed Rent in a Fiscal Year, follow the instructions below.

  1. Open the Imputed Rent.xlsx file.

  2. Enter Fiscal Year, Facility, SqFt, Rent/SqFt and FAST Department ID on the next empty row. Please do not change the name of the columns.

  3. The file will automatically save the changes.

DSO Data

To enter new DSO values for a Fiscal Year, follow the instructions below.

  1. Open the DSOData.xlsx file.

  2. Enter Fiscal Year, DSO Name, FAST Department ID, Federal Expense and Total Expense. Please do not change the name of the columns.

  3. The file will automatically save the changes.
