USF has several policies and standards for departmental technology purchases.
USF Technology Acquisition Policy ISSP-022 establishes the University Technology Standard Board (UTSB) as the body which recommends what technology standards should be established. Products and services which are recommended by the UTSB and approved by the Vice President for Information Technology can be purchased without further approval unless certain thresholds apply.
