Information Technology is simplifying the way you order department technology purchases. For most items, you'll be able to go online, choose from a list of pre-approved items, select your delivery address and pay.

To purchase technology items for personal use, continue to buy these at the website.

USF has partnered with Connection, Inc. (website) to provide a wide variety of technology items at discounted prices to USF. All computers listed on the website have been pre-approved for purchase and support for use on the Tampa campus and USF Health.

For the St. Petersburg campus and the Sarasota-Manatee campus: Please check with your local IT department to make sure the device you want to purchase will be approved for support.

 Desktops, Laptops, Tablets

USF has partnered with Connection, Inc to provide USF department standard desktop, laptop, and tablet computers at competitive prices.

For the St. Petersburg campus and the Sarasota-Manatee campus:  Please check with your IT department to make sure the device you want to purchase will be approved for support.

If you are unable to find an approved system that meets your needs, please review and complete the Technology Purchase Exception Request. Be sure to choose "Desktop/Laptop" for the product type when filling out the form.

If you have quotes from another vendor or additional information about your requested purchase, please attach them to the form using the paperclip icon.

USF has completed a competitive bid process for copiers and departmental printers. Please choose from the following list of awarded vendors and contact information or go directly to the USF Departmental Technology Ordering website.

USF currently has no awarded vendors or standards for personal class printers (standalone printers) that will not be wired into USF's network. These can be purchased directly using approved USF purchasing methods. 

The University completed an ITN (#17-16-MH) for network printers in order to choose the printers that best meet the University's needs, while at the same time lowering the overall total cost of ownership of the devices.

USF has a wide variety of standard, pre-approved software available to the entire USF system. All software listed on the USF Departmental Technology Ordering website has been pre-approved for purchase and support.

USF has a wide variety of standard, pre-approved A/V Equipment available to the entire USF system. All A/V Equipment listed on the USF Departmental Technology Ordering website has been pre-approved for purchase and support.

If you are unable to find approved A/V equipment that meets your needs and/or the equipment you are purchasing is for conference rooms and classrooms, or technology purchases which require construction/renovation for the accommodation of technology (Infrastructure purchases requiring Space Impact Request approval), then please review and complete the Technology Exception Approval Process to get started. Choose "Audio Visual" for the product type when filling out the form.

Not Listed and Does Not Meet Criteria

If your software was not listed on the site and does NOT meet any of the criteria above, then you can purchase it directly using approved USF purchasing methods. Review purchasing methods and how to buy, here.
