MyWeb - Connecting to MyWeb

Overview

This article will guide first time users through connecting to MyWeb. Web space is reserved for current USF students, staff, and faculty in MyWeb.

Your MyWeb page is available at http://yournetid.myweb.usf.edu (i.e. http://rockybull.myweb.usf.edu)

Currently versions of FileZilla newer than 3.20.1 are not able to connect to the MyWeb system. Please use the links below to download version 3.20.1:

How do I connect?

The settings below will work with any FTP client. The instructions provided are for Filezilla, which is the recommended FTP client for both Windows and Mac.

  1.  Open FileZilla.
  2. Click the Open the Site Manager button under the menu bar.
  3. Click New Site.
  4. Name the new site in the left side of the window.
  5. Enter sftp.myweb.usf.edu in the Host field.
  6. Enter 22 in the Port field.
  7. Change the Protocol to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol.
  8. Change Logon Type to Normal.
  9. Enter your NetID in the User field.
  10. Enter your NetID password in the Password field.
  11. Click Connect.
  12. Click OK to accept the MyWeb server's host key.
