HRLakehouse - Access Request

Access to HRLakehouse can be accomplished through the ADAR process.  The product access choice should be HR Lakehouse.  The security tiers are per object (table) and per row (element) and can be seen in the first column on any of the elements within the USF-BICC mappings excel document

The Tiers from least access to most access are as follows:

T1 – Public - Employee directory, job postings, marketing material, University policies and procedures, news or announcements, enrollment statistics.

T2 – Internal – Open employee records, student directory, internal policies and procedures, web and intranet portal, internal communications.

T3 – Confidential - Sensitive employee records, student records, financial records, proprietary information, security information.

T4 – Restricted – PHI, PII, PCI, CUI, Export Control, Tax information, Biometrics.

Once access has been granted by the data owners, connect to the servers listed below:

• Server

  • Test: test-usfsynapseanalytics-ondemand.sql.azuresynapse.net

  • Prod: usfsynapseanalytics-ondemand.sql.azuresynapse.net

• To access the objects in the HRLakehouse through a service account, you need to submit an ACL Request.

• Source Information: Provide your source host name.

• Destination Information:
  Server

  • Test: test-usfsynapseanalytics-ondemand.sql.azuresynapse.net

  • Prod: usfsynapseanalytics-ondemand.sql.azuresynapse.net

• Port: 1433

• Once access has been granted use any SQL database tools to connect to the lake house.

• Provide the database name HRLakehouse in the connection parameters. For example in SSMS:
