Fill the top of your page with an image overlayed with a title, description, and linked buttons.

 

Adding the Billboard Image

Billboard Image is a marketing component reserved for top level pages. It currently requires the Sitecore development team to add it to a page. Please see the Submitting a Sitecore Ticket documentation for instructions on requesting it.

Editing the Component Content

Hover your mouse anywhere over the component and click the yellow Edit button that appears over the top left. A new modal window will open with all of the content fields available for the component.

  • Image - Adds an image that fills the background of the entire component.

  • Title Override - (Optional) Adds a large line of text above the description.

  • Description - Adds a smaller paragraph of text underneath the title.

  • Link URL - (Optional for component, required for Button Text) Adds a link to the button below the description.

  • Button Text - (Optional for component, required for Link URL) Adds text displayed in a linked button below the description.

  • Open in New Tab - Check to open the linked button URL in a new browser tab.

  • Add Call to Action - Adds an additional linked button to the component with separate Link URL and Button Text fields.

Up to 3 linked buttons can be created in the Billboard Image component.

Image Specifications

  • Ideal Image Dimensions - 1600x450 px @72 dpi

  • Ideal File Size - 200 KB or less

 

  • Maximum Dimensions - 1900x650 px @72 dpi

  • Maximum Image Size - 400 KB

  • All images processed for the web should be @ 72 dpi.

  • Billboard image component defaults at a standard height of 650 pixels.

  • An image at 1900x650 pixels will generally achieve the cleanest image resolution.  However, if you're unable to hit your image size targets listed above, sizing down to 1600x650 pixels may be provide a good balance between size/quality.

  • The title, description, and links are overlayed on the left side of the component (cannot be adjusted). Please keep this in mind when choosing a photograph.

Deleting the Billboard Image

Deleting the Billboard Image requires approval by the person(s) in charge of the site and currently requires the Sitecore development team to remove it from the page. Please see the Submitting a Sitecore Ticket documentation for instructions on requesting the removal.
