Real-Time Marketing Event Journey Example

Navigate to the Marketing App (A) → Real-time Marketing menu (B) → Create Journey (C)
Name your Journey (A) ( We recommend you prefix with your department, in my case IT).
Select Trigger Based (B) and Select or Create your trigger (C) and add Condition(see below) (D) if desired. Hit Create (E).
The condition below is that the Event Registration is for an Event where the Event Name has the term “TEST” included.
The Trigger which placed them on this Journey (A)
The event registration entry which was created (B)
The parent event for which the event registration belongs (C)
The Event Name field on the Event (D) contains (E) “TEST” (F)
You can select any field, argument, value combination you need to ensure that you have the correct audience for your journey.
Your Journey is created. But the journey needs actions to take for the person on the journey. Click the “add” or “+” button (A).
Select your action, For this example I will select “Send an Email” (A)
Select the Email Action (A)
Select the Email Template you wish to use or Create a new Email Template (B)
Select the Field you wish to send the email to (C)
For this example I am going to use the “Events/Webinars” (A) → “Transaction event confirmation” email template (B) and click select (C).
This will display the email template which you can modify if desired. For this example I am going to change the name (A),
Add a Subject* (B)
Enter From Name (1)
Enter From Email Address (2)
Enter Email Subject line (3)
Save (C) my changes; and
“Ready to Send” (D).
Close “X” (E) to return to your Journey
You can now add more actions (A), Save (B) and/or Publish* (C) your journey
*If you choose “Publish” your journey will now be live and you will no longer be able to make edits.
